Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 June 2026.

Phonalyser is a desktop audio-measurement application (signal generator, oscilloscope, FFT analyser and frequency-response sweeps) that runs entirely on your own computer.

Information we collect

None. Phonalyser does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. It has no user accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no telemetry, and no advertising.

Your audio and measurements

All audio that Phonalyser captures, generates, and analyses is processed locally on your device and is never uploaded or transmitted anywhere. Any files you choose to save (recordings, spectra, measurement data) are written only to locations you select on your own computer.

Settings

Your preferences and measurement settings are stored only in a local file on your computer. They are never sent off the device.

Network use and updates

Phonalyser does not transmit your audio, settings, or any personal data over the internet, and it does not connect to any servers of its own to send your information. For the Microsoft Store edition, application updates are delivered through the Microsoft Store. Help links you choose to click open in your system web browser.

System access

As a desktop (full-trust) application, Phonalyser can access your computer's files and audio devices in order to perform measurements. It uses this access solely to run the application and your measurements on your machine; it does not use it to gather or transmit personal information.
